The Geospatial Sciences program at Kennesaw State University will celebrate GIS Day on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Our Geospatial Sciences program, located in the Department of Geography and Anthropology in the Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences, has shown innovative application of technology, data collection, and geospatial information visualization through GIS technologies, used in the classroom and beyond.
This November, our GIS program – our students, faculty, alumni, and the associated community that supports us - will join hundreds of organizations from North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia in hosting gatherings that will serve to ignite the imagination of the future geospatial innovators who will move the planet forward using GIS. To see where a local GIS event is held near you, visit the GIS Day Map.
GIS Day is One Fun Day to:
- Celebrate GIS with everyone
- Discover and explore the benefits of GIS
- Showcase the uses of GIS
- Build and nurture your GIS community
